This type of action frame has been patented by Steinway in 1868 and is still used (by Steinway only today.
I painted the action brackets. I have to say the brackets were the perfect guinea pigs to test the paint colour that I will use on the iron frame.
Also attached to the frame are these little guys called the jack buttons.
The felts had to be replaced.
I also replaced the hammer rail cloth (in red).
